Jason Elkins We Are Transparent.com In 2010 when his current boss at the web design firm he worked for asked him to come into his office for a minute, Jason Elkins thought “Finally, this was the job promotion meeting I’ve been waiting for.” Instead his boss looked at him straight faced and in a deadpan tone said “we’re eliminating two positions today and your position is one of them.” After a surreal 10-minute drive home and sharing the news with his always supportive spouse, Jason and his wife spent the weekend talking, praying and spending time with their children. Then his wife said something that would change his purpose for work and life. She said, “Maybe now you will start that business you are destined to start. God told me that this was going to happen. He’s given me total peace. We are going to be fine and I believe in you.” From that day forward, Jason has spent his time developing and creating a business from his passions. With a background in relationship building, technology sales and web design, Jason had a knack and fascination with social media and its impact on the business world. Jason developed Transparent, a digital marketing and consulting company helping businesses connect with their audiences through targeted social media strategies, marketing coaching, education and writing. We will be talking a lot about entrepreneurism in this episode. Be sure to join us in the chat room to ask questions.
