Today is World Book Day, and I can’t help but reflect on the titles that have not only shaped my business journey—but transformed how I lead, connect, and grow.

Two books stand out like guiding stars: Dr. Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich and Ben Gay III’s The Closers series. If you’ve been part of my community for a while, you already know how deeply these works have influenced my thinking and the way I run my podcast and business.

But they’re just the beginning.

On this day where we celebrate the written word, I want to share a few books that continue to inspire me—and might just spark a breakthrough for you, too. Whether you’re building a business, a podcast, or a legacy, these books offer a timeless roadmap to doing it with intention, integrity, and impact.

Think and Grow Rich — The Mindset That Started It All

Dr. Napoleon Hill didn’t just write a book. He created a blueprint for possibility. Think and Grow Rich taught me that success begins in the mind—that belief, clarity of purpose, and persistence are more powerful than circumstance.

One line that always stays with me:

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

That mindset isn’t fluff. It’s a decision. One that I return to every time I face uncertainty, launch a new project, or coach someone who’s just starting out.

The Closers — Sales as a Human Connection

Then there’s Ben Gay III, whose The Closers series is essential reading for anyone who wants to master the art of ethical, persuasive communication.

I’ve had the joy of working with Ben. We discuss The Closers books (Pt 2 in particular) each Wednesday on The Closers Inner Circle Podcast. He doesn’t just talk about sales—he lives it with integrity, empathy, and real-world wisdom. His books demystify the closing process and remind us that great salespeople don’t “pitch”—they serve.

“People buy from people they trust,” he says. And trust is built through consistency, respect, and clarity.

Whether you’re in a formal sales role or not, the ability to listen, guide, and help others arrive at a decision confidently is a universal skill—and The Closers teaches it better than anything else I’ve read.

More Books That Have Shaped My Thinking

These titles have also made a deep impact on how I approach business, coaching, and communication:

  • Robert Cialdini’s Influence A masterclass in understanding how people say “yes”—and how to be responsible with that power.
  • James Clear’s Atomic Habits Practical, powerful, and a daily reminder that small steps can lead to massive change.
  • Carol Dweck’s Mindset A must-read if you’re helping others grow or working on your own self-leadership.
  • Og Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman in the World A short, deeply meaningful read that blends business with purpose and personal growth.
  • Jim Rohn’s Five Major Pieces to the Life Puzzle A book I revisit often for its clarity and wisdom on living a life of intentional success.

Let’s Bring Books to Life—Together

On Your Partner In Success Radio, I’ve had the privilege of sitting down with authors, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and changemakers who are living these lessons out loud. Many of them were shaped by the very same books I’ve mentioned.

So today, in honor of World Book Day, I invite you to do two things:

  1. Share with me: What’s one book that changed your life or business?
  2. Take action: If your voice, story, or expertise deserves to be heard—and it does—reach out. Let’s get your message into the world.

Because books don’t just sit on shelves—they ignite movements, businesses, and lives. And maybe, just maybe, yours will be next.

What are you reading today? Let’s continue the conversation.🎧 And if you’re ready to get your voice heard, join me at Your Partner In Success Radio or reach out to talk about launching your podcast.
