Three Strikes and You’re Out: Respecting Time in a Professional World

In business—and especially in podcasting—time isn’t just valuable. It’s everything.

I’ve learned the hard way that some people just don’t respect that. Emergencies happen. Life throws curveballs. I get it. But when someone cancels on you once, twice… and then a third time? That’s a pattern, not a fluke. Here’s how I handle it.

Setting Boundaries with Chronic Reschedulers

No hard feelings, but I won’t keep trying to reschedule indefinitely. I treat my time—and yours—with respect, and I expect the same in return.

If you’re running a business, a podcast, or any kind of platform where people’s word matters, give yourself permission to set boundaries. You’re not being harsh—you’re being professional.

Have you had to set boundaries like this? I’d love to hear how you handle chronic reschedulers.
