Quietly life-changing — and I don't say that lightly
I'll be honest: I almost passed on this one. The title made me think it might be another surface-level feel-good read with a catchy concept and little substance beneath it. I was wrong.
Anna Marie Frank writes with the kind of candor that makes you feel like you're talking to someone who genuinely gets it — because she's been there. 'Stop Bullying Yourself!: Identify Your Inner Bully, Get Out of Your Own Way & Enjoy Greater Health, Wealth, Happiness and Success' isn't about toxic positivity or slapping affirmations on a problem. It's about recognizing the deeply ingrained habits of self-criticism we've normalized, and then doing the quiet, unglamorous work of dismantling them.
What sets this apart from similar books is her balance of research-backed insight and everyday accessibility. The chapters are tight. The exercises are actually doable. And the overall message — that you deserve the same compassion you extend to others — lands without feeling like a bumper sticker.
I read it as part of research for an upcoming podcast conversation with Anna Marie herself, and I came away with questions I didn't expect to be asking. A genuinely good book. Highly recommended for anyone doing the inner work.
This book is available on Amazon, and you can listen to our conversation on Your Partner In Success Radio on April 6th, 2026.
