Sometimes You Just Have to Tell them NO!

Tell me you don't read my email responses without telling me that you don't read them! This is in response to a particular podcast booker who is quite literally not reading my polite, and now, repetitive responses to their attempt to book one of their clients on #YourPartnerInSuccessRadio. Today was the final straw. They are no longer allowed to waste my time.

Dear [Podcast Booker's Name],

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I must firmly reiterate that my show is fully booked and I'm not accepting new guests at this time as we work through the backlog of scheduled guests. I've communicated this to you multiple times, and your continued persistence despite my clear responses is concerning.

This approach is counterproductive and reflects poorly on both you and your client. Aggressive follow-ups and disregarding a host's responses are significant red flags in the podcasting industry. Such behavior not only fails to secure a spot for your client but also damages potential future opportunities.

As a professional courtesy, I suggest:

Carefully reading and respecting responses from podcast hosts.

Maintaining a respectful and patient approach in your outreach.

Understanding that podcast hosts have the final say in guest selection and scheduling. (The truth here is, if I don't like you, I won't play in the sandbox with you.)

I hope you understand that due to this experience, I will not be considering your client for future episodes, nor will I accept any further suggestions from you or your company. I wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope this feedback helps improve your outreach strategy.

Sincerely, [My Name]

How do you handle this when someone is nagging the heck out of you?
