If you’re a new podcaster, or thinking about starting a show, I want to take a minute to offer you a little encouragement.

I’ve been podcasting for over 17 years now on Your Partner In Success Radio. That’s a lot of interviews, a lot of experimenting, and honestly, a lot of behind-the-scenes moments that didn’t go quite the way I planned.

So here’s what I want you to hear:

It doesn’t have to be perfect. Nobody gets it all right at the beginning. You’re going to adjust your format, your intro, your questions — probably many times. That’s normal. Growth is built right into this process.

Your voice truly matters. Whether ten people listen or ten thousand, someone out there needs exactly what you have to say. Don’t underestimate the power of your perspective.

Keep things simple at first. Don’t let fancy equipment or endless editing keep you stuck. Focus on having real conversations, or sharing your message as clearly as you can. The polish will come.

Show up consistently. That’s how you build trust — with your audience and with yourself. It’s also how you build confidence.

And most of all… try to enjoy it.

Podcasting has brought extraordinary people into my life. It’s given me stories and insights I never would have found any other way, and friendships that span the world.

So give yourself some grace. Stay curious. Keep talking into that mic. Even on the days it feels awkward or uncertain, you’re creating something meaningful — for others, and for yourself.

I’m rooting for you.
